History
Tokyo Belt was founded in Kanda-Suda-cho by Fujinosuke Ueda in 1946, shortly after the end of the war.As an agent for Mitsuboshi Belt, we developed our business mainly by selling belts to the Atsugi US military base, but Fujinosuke passed away at a young age.For the next 16 years, top management was dispatched from Mitsuboshi Belting and received support from the company. In 1975, Tsuneo Ueda (currently chairman), the second generation of the founding family, became president and established the resin division, which became the prototype of the parts processing division, and the framework of Tokyo Belt set it apart from being a mere power transmission belt distributor. is completed.
In 2008, Jun Maeda, the third generation of the founding family, was appointed president as the company steadily improved its performance on the wave of high growth.By valuing our core businesses such as belt, hose, and parts processing, we have overcome business crises such as the Lehman Shock and the coronavirus pandemic, and are actively pursuing new businesses such as overseas export, factory automation, infrastructure, and reverse engineering of processed parts. Through these efforts, we are now characterized by a company culture filled with a spirit of challenge that does not rest on our laurels.

Origin of company name and logo mark
-
Tokyo
The founder, Fujinosuke Ueda, was conscious of expanding overseas from the time of the company's founding, and named the company ``Tokyo Belt'' as a name that would be recognized around the world. There is some discussion about changing the company name due to the expansion of the products we handle, but a company name with the word "Tokyo" in it is extremely effective when it comes to developing new business partners, especially overseas companies, and we often gain trust from the first contact.
TOBEL
Since our founding, our customers have affectionately referred to us by the abbreviation "Tobel."Along with the official company name, Tokyo Belt, the founder wrote "TOBEL" in the logo to honor the nickname given by customers.
-
Three ☆
The Tokyo Belt logo was created by the founder himself.Since we believe that Mitsuboshi Belting is an important company that has supported us since our founding, we have added three stars to the initial "T" of Tokyo Belt.
founder's palm tree
The founder, Fujinosuke Ueda, was fluent in English, a rarity at the time, and had ambitions for the global market.Current chairman Tsuneo Ueda vividly remembers Fujinosuke sending letters with his own illustrations of palm trees to countries in Southeast Asia.Nowadays, we do not know what carrier Fujinosuke sent the letter to and to whom, but the spirit of challenge symbolized by the ``palm tree'', his desire to expand his business, and his prospects for overseas markets are clearly known. "Drive the world with technology and ideas" is firmly inherited by the current Tokyo Belt.
